The first Australian Rugby Almanac was actually titled The Rugby Annual. When this was revived in 1959, it was titled The Australian Rugby Union Almanac. This was the first annual issued since the NSW Annual of 1948. It is a true almanac, rather than the previous NSW Annuals which only contained information on NSW rugby

This was the first almanac issued since the Rugby Annual of 1956. This run of almanac’s went from 1959 to 1970. All copies retained the same look except the 1970 Almanac which was much larger.
