Club History

Yeoval Rugby Club

The Yeoval Rugby Club, also known as the Yeoval Eagles, has a notable history within the Central West Rugby Union competition in New South Wales, Australia.

The club was founded in 1948 and has been a strong presence in the Central West Rugby Union for many years. The Yeoval Eagles were particularly successful in the early days of the Blowes Cup, the top-tier competition in the region. They claimed premiership victories in 1959, 1963, 1964, and 1967. Archival news reports from the 1950s show that the club was a dominant force, even scoring decisive victories against clubs like Dubbo.

In recent times, the Yeoval Eagles have competed in the lower-tier competitions within the Central West Rugby Union, such as the Oilsplus Cup (a tier-three competition). Like many smaller country clubs, the Yeoval Eagles are an important part of the local community, providing a social and sporting hub for the town of Yeoval and the surrounding area.
