Hutt Rugby Club was formed in 1909 when Epuni and Kia Ora amalgamated. In 1967 Hutt amalgamated with High School Old Boys (previously Woburn, formed in 1945) to form Hutt Old Boys. In 1993 Hutt Old Boys amalgamated with Hutt Valley Marist to form Hutt Old Boys Marist. Hutt Rugby Club had a number of All Blacks including Cooke, Ball, Lilburne and Barry from the 1930’s and Loader and Delamore in the 1950’s
