Eastern Suburbs Rugby Club Rotorua was formed in 1957 but did not field a team in senior A competition until 1972. They amalgamated with Pirates in the early 1990’s and are now called Eastern Pirates Rugby club. They still use the original Eastern Suburbs clubrooms as their main clubrooms.
