Clyde-Earnscleugh Rugby Club

Clyde-Earnscleugh Rugby Club – The Clyde Football Club was formed in 1889; first winning the local competition three years later. In 1925; the Earnscleugh Club was formed in the famous fruit-growing region over the Clutha River. In 1929; the two Clubs merged, although for many years, the Clyde versus Earnscleugh derby remained one of the most fiercely fought games of the season.
