Club History

Box Hill Rugby Club

The Box Hill Rugby Club has a long and storied history within the Victorian Rugby Union. The club was founded in 1959 and in 1969 the club moved to its current location at Sparks Reserve in Box Hill.

Box Hill has a history of success in the Dewar Shield, the top-tier competition of Rugby Victoria. The club has won the Dewar Shield on several occasions, including three consecutive titles from 1999 to 2001. The club has produced numerous players who have gone on to represent the state of Victoria at the senior level.

The club has also been recognized for its community contributions, with members receiving awards for their volunteering efforts.
