Boorowa Rugby Club

The Boorowa Rugby Club, also known as the Boorowa Goldies, has a history dating back to 1969. The club competes in the Central West Rugby Union’s South West Cup, a competition that was formerly known as the South West Zone. The South West Zone competition began in 1955, with founding members including Young, Cowra, Forbes, West Wyalong, and Grenfell. Boorowa joined this competition later. The Boorowa Rugby Club has a strong community focus, with a men’s team (“Goldies”) and a women’s team (“Goldilocks”). The club is also known for hosting the annual Boorowa Beer and Rugby Festival. The Boorowa Rugby Club has a rivalry with the Harden Red Devils, with their matches often being highly anticipated
