Club History

Beckenham Rugby Club

Beckenham Rugby Club was formed about 1932 and was based at Beckenham Park. Their colours were narrow bands of red, yellow and black all over. Although the All Black Charlie Oliver lived in Beckenham, he played for Merivale. With war coming in 1939 a shortage of players soon developed, and the club did not survive, nor did it revive after the war.
