Club History

Ballance Rugby Club

There is mention of the Ballance Rugby Club, who were in the Bush rugby union, playing in the early part of the 20th century. During the 1930’s, they fielded two teams: a junior grade team and a third-grade team. The colours were yellow and black. The junior team had many successes, winning the Bush championship, and also the seven-a-side tournament on more than one occasion. The club went into recess at the start of the second world war.
